Due to scheduling conflicts and a desire to protect everyone’s “free” time as much as possible, we have decided to pivot the format of the conference.
Details below.
Rather than having a set three day window full of conference sessions, we are going to transition into a speaker series approach. Each month or every other month, we will be featuring a speaker (or speakers) that will record a presentation on a particular topic/theme. The recording will be made available to the community for several weeks, to allow for them to watch the recordings on their own time. Then, at the end of that given month, the speaker(s) will have an open forum/office hour via Zoom, where anyone could pop in and ask questions or discuss things further.
We are hoping that this alternative format will accommodate more schedules and make the information more accessible.
With this alternative format in mind, would you still be willing to present and be a part of our speaker series? We would love it if you would! Reach out to Nikki Freeman at nfreeman@ucmo.edu with your ideas!
